2. Candidate Forms & Declarations

Forms you may need during your application

Not every candidate will need to complete these forms. Where one applies, our Exams Team will normally advise you as part of the registration process.

Candidate No Photo ID Form

Only required if you do not have accepted current photographic identification.

The form allows an independent professional who knows you to verify your identity and confirm that a recent photograph is a true likeness.

The Centre may carry out further identity checks before accepting your entry.

Science Practical Evidence

For relevant GCSE, AS Level and A Level Science candidates.

If you have previously completed relevant science practical work, please provide any evidence you already hold when completing your examination application.

For A Level Biology, Chemistry or Physics, if you have previously achieved a Practical Endorsement, please provide details and evidence so our Exams Team can check whether it may be carried forward.

3. JCQ Information for Candidates

Examination regulations every candidate must follow

North West Education Hub conducts examinations in accordance with the applicable requirements of the Joint Council for Qualifications (JCQ) and the relevant awarding organisation.

Candidates are responsible for reading and complying with the current JCQ Information for Candidates documents that apply to their examinations and assessments.

4. Results, Reviews & Appeals

After your results are released

A range of Post-Results Services may be available depending on your qualification and awarding organisation.

  • Access to Scripts where available
  • Clerical Re-checks of recording and totals
  • Reviews of Marking
  • Appeals in eligible circumstances

Following a review, a mark or grade may increase, decrease or remain unchanged. Strict deadlines and applicable fees apply.

5. Complaints & Appeals

Raising a concern

We aim to provide a professional, fair and transparent examination service.

If you are unhappy with an aspect of the service, contact our Exams Team first so we have an opportunity to resolve the matter.

Where a concern cannot be resolved informally, you can use our formal complaints procedure.

Different review or appeal procedures may apply to internal assessment, access arrangements, post-results services or other examination processes.
